Manning and Welker will savor this week

Savor this week, Broncos fans, because that's what the players are doing. It's the Broncos and Patriots in the AFC Championship Game Sunday at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

At team headquarters in Englewood today, the Broncos were center of the sports media world.
Quarterback Peyton Manning will play in his fourth conference championship game and third against Tom Brady, which is why Manning said after Wednesday's practice, he'll be ready to play well, but he's also going to enjoy the ride.

"You don't take it for granted especially when you've been through an injury, been through a major change," said Manning. "You're in the home stretch of your career. So we're excited about the opportunity. We've worked hard to get to this point."

"It's tough to get here," said Wes Welker. "Tough to get to this position and tough to get this opportunity, so you just try to take advantage of it and try not to worry about how you got here."
