Pueblo County Sheriff's Deputies seized more than 100 marijuana plants from the basement of a home in Pueblo County.

After a search warrant was issued last Friday, deputies seized about 120 marijuana plants from a home in the 1700 block of Cougar Drive in Pueblo West. The investigation started after a utility worker noticed high energy consumption at the house.

According to the Sheriff's Office, a complex system of venting and hydroponics was in use along with an array of electric lights. Three weapons including an SKS assault rifle and a ballistic vest were also found within the residence.

Three people were arrested. They are identified as Joseph Leyba, 23; Coryanne Drummond, 32; and Nicholas Schaffer, 22.

Charges include possession and cultivation of marijuana.

The suspects are all being held on $100,000 bail at the Pueblo County Jail.
