COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Tenth-ranked Massachusetts-Lowell got 27 saves from goalie Doug Carr in beating Colorado College 3-1 Friday in men's college hockey.
The Red Hawks (1-1-1) outshot the Tigers 39-28.
The Red Hawks' Joseph Pendenza scored his first goal of the season to snap a 1-1 tie midway through the third period. Stephen Buco tacked on an empty-net net for insurance with 30 seconds to play.
Ryan McGrath scored Lowell's other goal.
Aaron Harstad scored for Colorado College (3-1-0), which did not have a power play in the game.
Josh Thorimbert made 36 saves.
