It seems a controversial ballot measure that would have made Memorial Health Systems a non-profit will not show up on this April's ballot. This morning a Mayor's Task Force agreed to ask city council to suspend plans to put the ballot measure to an April vote. One of the biggest factors, an estimated $245 million payment that would have to be made to PERA, the state's Public Employee's Retirement Association. The payment would have to be made if the hospital was released from government control. The task force is expected to make the recommendation to Colorado Springs City Council this afternoon. News First 5 will have more on News First 5 at 5, 6 and 10.
