Some men in Pueblo pushed their comfort levels the max to take a stand against domestic violence. On Friday, the YWCA of Pueblo held it's second annual "Walk a mile in her shoes" event.
Men traded their tennis shoes for flip flops or heels and walked around the riverwalk. The goal is to spread awareness and send the message: domestic violence won't be tolerated.
"Although (men) may not exactly know what (women who are victims) are going through, they're saying we understand it's a very difficult situation and we're here to support you with that," said Brandi Moore, Pueblo YWCA Executive Director.
Women also took part in the walk.
Last year, the Pueblo YWCA says it helped 2,000 women who were victims of domestic violence and 50 men.
