Temperatures going up and clouds rolling in over the next several days.
We will see partly to mostly cloudy skies over southern and southeastern Colorado tonight. We will likely see a large range in temperatures from the plains to the foothills. Lows will be in the teens to low 30°s. (Colorado Springs: 30° | Pueblo: 24°)
Mid to high-level clouds will continue to stream in to the region as moisture from the Pacific Ocean is brought in over the mountains by the jetstream. This will turn skies partly sunny Thursday afternoon. Even with clouds, temperatures should be able to climb in to the 40°s, 50°s and 60°s. (Colorado Springs: 58° | Pueblo: 63°)
A weak cold front will pass through the area Friday morning which in turn will cool temperatures Friday. No concern though, as temperatures will remain above normal. Highs will likely be in the 50°s along the I-25 corridor.
The weekend still looks warm, although windy. Strong westerly winds will come off the mountains and help warm temperatures in to the 60°s and 70°s, especially along the I-25 corridor. - Meteorologist John Dissauer
