This week's Loaf 'N Jug Aquafina Athlete of the Week just led her team to a high school basketball championship.
Mesa Ridge Sophomore Kylee Shook had 14 points in Saturday's Championship Game win over Broomfield. How about this stat line over the season: Shook shaked and baked her way to 13 points, ten rebounds, and four-and-a-half blocks per game. She told us she just goes with the flow.
"They just kind of left us open," said Shook after Saturday's win. "We were ready and we wanted to win. We just got it up the court. We didn't want to stall or just sit there. We wanted to actually do something and get more points. We wanted to win by big."
Speaking of big, Kylee is 6-foot-four and with two more years of high school ball. Expect plenty more big things in the coming years. As far as college hoops go. ESPN recruiting says she's a "major division-1 talent."
