LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Some Michigan lawmakers want to make sure a pint of beer is really a pint. A bill amending the Liquor Control Act would require each pint of beer to have at least 16 ounces. Plumber Gary Lord of Lansing thinks it's a good idea. He tells the Detroit Free Press he's been in some taverns where the pint seemed on the small size. So-called cheater pints are glasses that have thick bottoms, so they hold as little 12 to 14 ounces of brew.
