Mild and dry weekend. Snow still possible for Santa!

TODAY: Winter begins with much milder temps the day and it will be at least 10 degrees warmer this afternoon compared to yesterday. Temps top-out at 53 in Colorado Springs and 55 in Pueblo with mostly sunny skies and light winds this afternoon.

TONIGHT: Starry and chilly again. Dry skies statewide overnight and into the weekend. 24 degrees in the Springs and 18 in Pueblo. Temps in Canon City will likely stay around 30 degrees!

SATURDAY-SUNDAY: Staying dry this weekend and mild. Abundant sunshine tomorrow across eastern Colorado with temps back into the 50's for the Springs and Pueblo. One or two temps at the lower elevations will approach 60! Skies will be mostly sunny to partly with fairly light winds each day. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy Sunday and a little bit cooler. Our highs to end the weekend will be 5-7 degrees lower compared to highs on Saturday. Great looking forecast for the Broncos and Browns in Denver! Partly cloudy, 47 degrees with almost not wind at all for the 2:05 start.

MONDAY: The forecast for Christmas Eve day will include snows showers across the mountains of Colorado and an increasing chance for some snow showers across the mountains close to home as well. Skies here Monday will partly sunny to mostly cloudy and cooler with temps of only 37 in the Springs and 40 in Pueblo. Temps in Teller County will stay in the 30's with snow becoming pretty likely during the day in over the Rampart Range, Wet and Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

CHRISTMAS EVE: Chances for a white Christmas have gone up in spots...40% chance in the overnight hours across the higher elevations. Most of the lower elevations will see chances will go up to 30% for Santa! If you have travel plans you'll want to pay close attention to the forecast.

CHRISTMAS DAY: It is looking even more likely that we'll see some snow showers across eastern Colorado through early Christmas morning! Chances for snow showers are currently 40% for places like Pueblo, La Junta and 30-40% for Teller County. For El Paso County there is also about a 30% chance for morning snow showers while you are enjoy the company of family, friend and loved ones. Chance for snow will be most likely early in the day...could see a little sunshine locally by late in the day.

WEDNESDAY-THURSDAY: Mostly sunny skies, dry and chilly both days. Mid 30's in Colorado Springs and Pueblo on Wednesday...and then lower to mid 40's for Thursday.
