We start the work week how we ended the weekend - with partly sunny skies, mild temperatures and an isolated shower or two. Any showers that we see should be isolated to the higher elevations.
Tuesday will be the warmest day of the week. Highs will climb well into the 70s and even 80s. And with the warm up, comes another nice day with plenty of sunshine as an area of high pressure dominates over the Four Corner States.
Wednesday the winds pick up and the temperatures drop back off. Highs from Wednesday - Friday will still be fairly mild with highs in the 60s and 70s. There won't be any showers, but the wind could be an issue. Wednesday and Thursday, winds will be steady 20-30mph with gusts 40+ mph. With these winds expected, a Fire Weather Watch is in effect for the area Wednesday.
Enjoy the week... Meteorologist Valerie Abati
