MAITLAND, Fla. (AP) - First, there were soccer moms deciding presidential elections. This time around, it's the Walmart moms.
Two polling firms, one Democratic and one Republican, have teamed up to track women who have children at home under 18 and who shop at the discount giant retailer. Their findings show that these women are predominantly white, split evenly between parties and could play a key role in next year's presidential election.
Their No. 1 concern is the economy. Some are disillusioned with President Barack Obama, but others still want to give him a chance.
