Monday started with dense fog, and a Dense Fog Advisory will end at 8 AM for El Paso County, but the fog is not limited to El Paso County. After 7-8 AM, the commute concerns shift from fog to snow. That snow likely will begin falling in western El Paso County and Teller County before spreading southeastward through 10 AM. The snow will begin tapering after 2 PM, though snow could continue in spots through 6-8 PM before ending completely.
How much snow? Most areas will see 1-2" with lower totals, up to an inch, in areas near the New Mexico border from Trinidad to Springfield. An isolated spot with up to 3" cannot be ruled out, and the southwest facing slopes of Pikes Peak could measure 3-6" by tonight.
