Former Pueblo City Manager Jerry Pacheco just recently got a citation for careless driving.
Now, more information is coming to light about possible alcohol use.
You may remember back in May when Pacheco was involved in an alleged hit and run but was not cited.
He resigned at the request of the City Council and became Head of Planning.
A completely separate incident happened earlier this month, however, where several witnesses say they spotted a driver who may have be intoxicated.
Police tracked an SUV to Pacheco's apartment but told us then they couldn't give him a DUI without him admitting he had been drinking.
They did say they found and open alcohol container in the vehicle, but they had to wait and cite him later for careless driving.
Now, according to the Pueblo Chieftain, police memos reveal more about that incident.
These memos quote the city's HR Director Marisa Walker, who is also Pacheco's girlfriend, as saying he had been drinking for two days during the time the careless driving happened.
Also according to the Chieftain, they show how she's worried about what was called his "excessive alcohol use."
We did attempt to contact Pacheco's attorney, but he has not returned our call.
We also have a request in to Interim City Manager Jenny Eickelman to get these documents and others in the investigation of Pacheco's careless driving.
There are 9-1-1 records and other memos, so we will bring you the latest on this story as it becomes available.
