TODAY: Thanks to a large, slow moving area of low pressure to our west we'll have more clouds and cooler temps today. We'll also expect a better chance of a seeing a few showers. 20% for most of the Front Range....20-30% chance over the mountains close to home and an even better chance for much needed moisture in western Colorado. Chances for showers for La Junta and Lamar will be lower today/tonight...only about 10-20%.
TONIGHT: A few stray showers possible early, then partly to mostly cloudy overnight. Temps because of the clouds should stay a little milder.
TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY: That big storm to the west will still be slowly moving our way...as it does it will be even a little cooler still here both days with increasing chances for showers. Chances for showers will be likely over the mountains, with some snow possible above 12,000 feet. Locally the chance increases to 40-50% in the Springs and El Paso County and to around as much as 30% for Pueblo and Pueblo West. If you live closer to the mountains your chances will be a little higher...those of you out on the plains should see slightly lower chances. Temps Tuesday should be 8-10 degrees cooler than today and even a few degrees cooler still on Wednesday!
THURSDAY: Big area of low pressure will move into the central plains and leave us with slightly warmer and much drier weather.
Showers at the lower elevations are much less likely...however, there will still be a slight chance lingering over the mountains during the afternoon.
FRIDAY: Weather to end the week sounds just the forecast around here on Thursday. High temps will be in the lower 70's in the Springs and the upper 70's in Pueblo.
SATURDAY-SUNDAY: Weekend forecast is shaping up nicely with mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies and slightly warmer than average temps. Skies will be dry at the lower elevations...we might see one or two showers over the mountains, but they would be very few and far between.
Have a great week!
