TODAY: Abundant sunshine again and just lovely. It will be a touch warmer this afternoon than it should be for this time in the month of September. 78 in the Springs and 85 in Pueblo. Those temps are about 5 degrees above average. Winds today will be light for the entire eastern half of the state.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cool. Just a couple of clouds drifting through the area overnight. Low temps will fall to 47 in the Springs and 46 in Pueblo.
FRIDAY: So long summer! The last day of the season will start with arrival of a weak cool front in the morning. High temps by afternoon should be a couple of degrees cooler thanks to that front. High of 76 in the Springs and 81 in Pueblo. You might notice a little bit of a breeze when the front arrives, but later in the day we'll have light winds with sunny skies.
SATURDAY: Hello fall! The new season begins at 8:49 AM our time and will arrive on a very quite and cool note. Perfect weather the entire day with sunshine and slightly cooler temps for all of us.
SUNDAY: It will be a little warmer by afternoon compared to Saturday....about 6-7 degrees warmer. We expect an increase in the amount of moisture over the mountains which means will add a 20% chance of thundershowers back to the forecast for the high country. Chances only about 20% for most of the mountains, but something to keep in mind if you have plans to check out the fall colors.
MONDAY: Even more moisture in the air and another cool front on the way means that we'll see an even better chance of a few showers over the mountains close to home. About a 20-30% chance for Teller County...including Cripple Creek and Woodland Park. By evening we might even see a shower or two around the Front Range! About a 20% chance for Colorado Springs...slightly lower chances for Canon City, Pueblo and the rest of the eastern plains.
