More roads set to open up today

The El Paso County Sheriff's office opens up more roads, Thursday morning, allowing most residents, who have received Black Forest Fire Re-Entry Information Packets and Red Placards open access to the burn areas. The access is only open to residents at any and all road closure points. Sheriff Terry Maketa is expected to give a more specific list during Thursday morning's 11 o'clock fire briefing.

However, there are roads and addresses that will remain close because the area is considered a crime scene investigation. Those roads are:
Darr Cir.
Peregrine Way
Falcon Dr.
12715 Milam Rd.
4150 and 4350 Shoup Rd.

If for some reason a neighbor from the area is unable to visit their property or have not received their re-entry packet or placard, you are able to go to the check point at Black Forest Road and Shoup Road. The Sheriff's Office is staffing this site with a deputy for the purpose of issuing information packets and vehicle placards. You will have to provide proof of residency in the restricted area via a driver's license and/or vehicle registration, residents will receive information packets and/or vehicle placards.
