More snow means early openings

SNOWMASS VILLAGE, Colo. (AP) - Snowmass ski resort is opening five days early because of heavy snow over the past month.
The resort is opening tomorrow with more than 160 acres open to skiers.
Breckenridge plans to open today, celebrating its 50th anniversary with free cupcakes for the first 1,111 guests.
Among other Colorado resorts, Loveland, Arapahoe Basin, Wolf Creek, Copper Mountain and Keystone are already open.
