TODAY: Breezy and beautiful today. The upper jet will be strengthening over southern Colorado during the next 24 hours. This should bring increasing westerly winds to most areas today. Light and variable winds becoming southwest 10 to 15 mph this morning. Areas in and near the mountains will see the greatest increase in winds. Gust potential today will increase to about 70 mph across the higher elevations...about 40 mph across the lower elevations. Temperatures today should respond nicely to the mixing effect of the downslope winds with highs near 52 in Colorado Springs, 56 in Pueblo, 41 in Teller.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy and breezy conditions will result in fairly mild overnight lows by mid December standards. Colorado Springs will only fall to 31 overnight and Pueblo 25.
TUESDAY: Mostly clear calm and cool with temperatures about 10 degrees cooler than Monday. The high will be near 43 in Colorado Springs, 46 in Pueblo, 35 in Teller. West, southwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
TUESDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy, breezy and colder than Monday night with lows in the upper teens. West winds 5 to 15 mph becoming north after midnight. In Teller County, a good chance of precipitation with areas of blowing snow and a chance of snow after midnight. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

WEDNESDAY: Blustery with gusty winds and a 30% chance of snow showers, mainly between noon and 4pm. Mostly cloudy with highs only warming into the low 20s in Colorado Springs, upper 20s in Pueblo, and 15 in Teller County. North winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts as high as 35 mph.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy, breezy and cold with lows in the single digits. A low near 2 degrees in Colorado Springs and Teller County, 9 in Pueblo. With west winds 10 to 15 mph, wind chills will fall into the negative.
THURSDAY: Conditions will be dry and calm and 15 to 20 degrees warmer with highs near 40 in Colorado Springs and Pueblo, 31 in Teller County.
THURSDAY NIGHT: Mostly clear, with a low around 19 in Colorado Springs and Teller County, near 11 in Pueblo.
FRIDAY - SUNDAY: Dry conditions continue with temperatures warming another 10 degrees with highs near 50 in the Springs and Pueblo, 40 in Teller. Partly cloudy and cold overnight with lows near 20 in Colorado Springs and Teller County, near 15 in Pueblo.
