More storms today for the Pikes Peak region

The potential for flash flooding over the Waldo Canyon and Black Forest burn scars continues today.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will form up over the high country after noon today and move across the Pikes Peak region this afternoon and evening. Keep in mind that it only takes one storm to cause flash flooding, so please stay alert throughout the day today if you live in and around the Waldo Canyon and Black Forest burn scars. The rest of Southern Colorado will be mainly dry and hot today with highs ranging from the low 80s to the mid 90s.

Expect a break from the wet weather for the start of the new week. It'll be hot and dry Sunday through Tuesday with highs in the 90s for most. The chance for isolated showers and storms returns Wednesday and looks to last through the end of the week but mainly for mountain locations and the foothills.
