More than 1,200 show up for cannabis job fair

In this tough job market any work opportunity is welcome.

It was evident in Denver on Thursday that the medical marijuana industry is booming -- with jobs growing right along with it.

It's called CannaSearch -- Denver's first marijuana job fair featuring 15 cannabis businesses in the state. The event is hosted by O.PenVAPE, the largest national brand in cannabis, with no fee for business owners or prospective employees to participate.

At least 1,200 people waited in line for hours to get in the door and mingle with employers like "420 Tours" -- a pot tourism company, and "Cannabis Hemp Academy," a
school offering online courses and certification in cannabis and hemp industries.

"Colorado is on the cutting edge of this fantastic experiment that's being allowed to happen by the government," says Tim Cullen, a founder of O.PenVAPE.
"There are people from all over the country who are looking for work."
