More young adults covered with parents' insurance

New research suggests federal health reform is saving young adults from potentially huge medical costs.

A provision of the Affordable Care Act allows young adults to remain on their parents' medical insurance until the age of 26.

After looking at ER data from 2011, after the law went into effect, researchers estimate that $147 million in medical care for this age group was newly covered by private insurance.
