Morning fire damages home in Colorado Springs

A home was heavily damaged in a morning fire in Colorado Springs.

Around 8:30 Tuesday morning the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) was called to a home in the 22-hundred block of Robin Dr. near Fillmore and Union for a structure fire. When firefighter got on the scene they found the home filled with smoke.

CSFD says everyone who was inside home escaped the fire safely, however there may have been some animals in the home that are unaccounted for.

Firefighters are still looking through the house, and investigators are working to determine a cause of the fire. Family will be displaced from home due to the extensive damage inside.
