The air feels a bit heavier today thanks to higher humidity across Southern Colorado. Showers and thunderstorms will develop in that humid air mass, especially after midday, but the rain is most likely to fall close to I-25 or west into the mountains. The Plains will stay mostly dry and warmer, while temperatures will warm into the 70's around Colorado Springs with 80's around Pueblo and Canon City. This comes with those showers and thunderstorms. Increasing winds will help to kick up dust, too, and the wind will be especially gusty near those showers and thunderstorms.
The potential exists for more showers on Thursday, though they will be less widespread and more spotty in nature. Temperatures will once again top out in the 70's and 80's after starting mostly in the 50's.
