National Little Britches Finals Rodeo brings in millions for Pueblo

Saddle up because the National Little Britches Finals Rodeo is in town.

Contestants ages 5-18 are riding bulls and bucking broncs, and taking part in barrel racing through Saturday.

It's not just the spectators and contestants that get a kick out of the event -- businesses reap the benefits too.

"We see them go out and they go swimming in our pools and go to our attractions-- river rafting is really popular during that time," says Rod Slyhoff, CEO of the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce.

He says the rodeo brings in more than $4 million for the community in just one week.

Angelo's Pizza Parlor owner Debby Foresta is especially looking forward to Wednesday because that's the contestants' day off.

"They get to come out and just do what they want around Pueblo so we look forward to having them at Angelo's," she says.
