We've been talking about it since early last week, temperatures will be flirting with the 80° mark this afternoon in some parts of southern and southeastern Colorado.
The morning will start with a few clouds across the area, but the clouds should give way to mostly sunny skies this afternoon. Winds will also increase this afternoon, gusting to 40-45 mph. Highs will be in the 70°s to near 80°. (Colorado Springs: 74° | Pueblo: 79°)
Because of the warm temperatures, windy conditions and expected low humidity, a Red Flag Warning will be in effect from 11am MT until 8pm MT Monday for areas along I-25 and to the east, along with Fremont County.
Don't get used to the warm temperatures. A cold front will move through the area tonight. Behind the front, cooler air will arrive in southern Colorado for Tuesday. Highs will be in the 40°s and 50°s. - Meteorologist John Dissauer
