Colorado Springs School District 11 released a statement this afternoon that says the School Board is disappointed with negotiations with the Colorado Springs Education Association.

This is regarding the Board's proposal for opening Interest-Based Bargaining.

Interest-Based Bargaining generally refers to a strategy during negotiations which focuses on mutually beneficial agreements from both sides. The approach includes recognizing the needs, desires, concerns and fears important to each side.

Another negotiation session was planned for this afternoon.

A statement from District 11 said: "The D-11 Board of Education continues to believe that opening the Interest-Based Bargaining negotiations for the public's observance is a fully transparent process that best serves the students, staff, and taxpayers of School District 11."
