GREELEY, Colo. (AP) - An Oklahoma company plans to build a natural gas pipeline that will ship gas from Montana and connect with the existing Overland Pass pipeline in northern Colorado.

The Tribune in Greeley reports that representatives of Oneok Partners of Tulsa, Okla., met with Weld County commissioners Monday to discuss the 510-mile, $500 million Bakken Pipeline. Steve Johnson of Oneok says construction is expected to begin in 2012 and shipments should start in the first half of 2013.

The liquids to be shipped will come from gas processing plants in the Bakken Shale in Montana and North Dakota. When the liquids reach the pipeline west of Grover, they will be sent to processing plants and sold in Kansas.

Johnson says the construction company will hire locally where possible.
