Tonight we're uncovering more about the man shot and killed by police in Pueblo.
Richard Robert Licon, 40, does have a previous record.
Back in 1999 he pled guilty to aggravated robbery with intent to kill.
That landed him in jail for seven years.
Today Pueblo Police tell us they're still investigating to find out exactly what happened on Christmas morning.
Police were initially called out to a home on West Evans Avenue after reports of a man with a gun who was inside a home with a woman and two children.
That man was Richard Licon.
Police say he then ran out of the front door.
That's when police saw he had a gun, and he may have shot at officers.
However, police now tell us they do not know if the loud noise they heard was a gunshot or the door slamming.
Licon then ran out the back and down an alley, and more shots were reportedly fired and Licon was hit.
He later died at Parkview Hospital, and now police are looking into who may have shot first.
Autopsy results will be available tomorrow.
As for the officers involved in this shooting, they've been placed on administrative leave, which is standard in a case like this.
