New NRA program will be unveiled today

The NRA plans to issue a new report later today on how schools can prevent future gun violence similar to the Newtown tragedy.

Members of the nation's largest pro-gun lobby will present the National School Shield Program, a combination of policy proposals and resources on curbing gun violence.

The program offers training recommendations for law enforcement officials, as well as guidelines for state and local government on how to permit armed guards in schools.
