NFL rules that Peyton Manning's passing yards record will stand

The undisputed best season ever by a quarterback was disputed by the NFL today. But the league has decided to uphold Peyton Manning's single-season passing yards record.
The league reviewed a pass to Eric Decker in the first half at Oakland. Had they deemed it a lateral, the yards gained on the play would be changed to rushing yards, leaving Manning seven yards short of Drew Brees' record of 5,776.
Manning broke that mark by one yard at the end of the first half of a 34-14 win over the Raiders. The league announced that after further review, that record will stand.
He also broke the record for most touchdowns in a season, 55, and the team has the record for most points scored in a season, 606.
