Night out on the town turns ugly with a knife attack

Colorado Springs Police report that they were called to the Erin Inn at 6480 North Academy Blvd at around 11:15 Friday night following a report of a knife attack.

When officers arrived, they learned from by standers, that one man had followed another out of the bar and attacked him with a knife. The victim, a 30 year-old unidentified man, received a large gash on his face and another on his arm. The suspect later identified as 31 year-old Tayoune Herron and another male fled the scene in a small Ford. Witnesses noted the license plate number and description of the suspect vehicle and reported them to the responding officers.

The victim of the attack was taken to a local hospital and treated for his injuries. Later, the suspect vehicle, and the two men identified as being involved in the earlier disturbance showed at the same hospital emergency room. The primary suspect had also received a cut to his face, along with a cut to his wrist. Tayoune Herron was arrested on suspicion of First Degree Assault.
