The land use hearing related to a proposed energy park in southeast Pueblo County has been extended to two days, in anticipation of many hours of testimony.
The Pueblo County Commissioners will hear testimony for and against construction of a nuclear power plant, as well as other kinds of energy production.
The Pueblo Planning Commission has already approved the plan.
The hearing will now be spread out over two days, March 15 and 16 at the ballroom of the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center. The meetings will begin at 5 p.m. each day.
On March 15 those in favor of the project will be allowed to speak. Those against the proposed energy park will be allowed to speak on March 16. Each speaker will be given three to five minutes at the microphone.
