DENVER (AP) - Volunteers for President Barack Obama are gearing up Saturday to promote the president's visit to Colorado next week.

The OFA Colorado group is planning phone banks and door-to-door canvassing from Routt County to Pueblo.

The volunteers will be telling voters to watch the president's third State of the Union address on Tuesday. They're also trying to build enthusiasm for Obama's visit on Thursday. The White House says he'll be in the Denver area to elaborate on something in this State of the Union address.

Obama was last in Colorado on Oct. 26, when he visited Denver's Auraria campus to announce an executive order to ease student loan payments.
