Dunder Mifflin isn't the only company with office hijinks.
A Wisconsin business has parlayed a football rivalry into an on-line spoof worthy of NBC's "The Office."
"The banks of the St. Croix River" reads the narrator on the company video.
This isn't Scranton, PA.
"It's where Resco calls home"
And this isn't Dunder Mifflin.
But maybe it's what "The Office" would be, if it were in Hudson, Wisconsin.
On the border between two passions.
"You can feel the love here at Resco."
One purple, the other, green.
"During Packer Vikings rivalry week, of course we get as much work done as we can," says company president John Knutson.
With a staff evenly split in their loyalty to the Packers, and the Vikings.
The Resco company had a decision to make: Work amid the rivalry, or make the rivalry part of their work.
"We actually originally meant it to be an internal thing, but it's kind of getting legs of its own," adds Knutson.
Getting legs? Well it's this: A video shot by the small marketing and sales company, a sort of mockumentary that's already racked up thousands of views on YouTube.
Fun and games aside, after a year of layoffs and revenues slashed by as much as 35 percent, his is the marketing tool Resco really needed.
"We want to be sure that our clients understand this is a type of thing we can do not only for ourselves but also for them," says Knutson.
But that whole business thing, purely a byproduct.
Because all these employees, and some of these antics, are legit.
"Almost" completely legit.
"This was an opportunity in the video to act out our feelings," says employee David Wickstrom.
Because one gets the impression, after glimpsing Vikings or Packers paraphernalia in nearly every company corner, this is a football office. Pure and simple.
Complete with everyone's predictions.
