It's the final chapter for a historic building in Downtown Pueblo. On Tuesday demolition crews tore down the old health department building on Central Main St. The building was built in 1956.
The Pueblo Urban Renewal Authority says this space will temporarily be used as a parking lot and eventually commercial or housing development by the riverwalk.
In Aug. 2009, health department workers relocated to 9th St. and Santa Fe Ave.
