The Olympic Rings now greet drivers as they enter the City of Colorado Springs on I-25. A local non-profit group called the Partnership for Community Design paid to have the new logos added to the signs on both the north and south entrances of the city.
The signs declare the city is the Proud Home of the United State Olympic Committee.
To pay for the additions, the group raised $7,000 in private donations from donors: Case International Companies, CH2M Hill, Inc., Greater Colorado Springs Economic Development Council, Shape Technologies LLC, Challenger Homes, Nor'wood Development Group, Pikes Peak Lodging Association, David Lord Investments, Centura Health-Penrose Hospital, ENT Federal Credit Union, Housing & Building Association of Colorado Springs, Chuck Murphy, The Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, Pikes Peak Association of Realtors, Inc., Griffis/Blessing, Inc., The Downtown Partnership of Colorado Springs, Experience Colorado Springs at Pikes Peak, Council of Neighbors and Organizations, Berwick Electric, DynaElectric, El Paso County Electric, Green Electric, Lightning Electric, Sedlak Electric, BW Systems, Electric Power and Process, Faith Enterprises, Lenz Electric, and Rockhill Electrical Systems.
