One CEO states reasons for moving company to Colorado

"Having access to your representatives is a very important asset for the community and we have that in town," says CEO and President of dpiX,, LLC Frank Caris. "It's very important, it's an asset that we should exploit," he adds.

dpiX specializes in making digital X-rays, as well as sensors for the medical industry, homeland security, bomb detetction among other areas. The company purchased space in Colorado Springs in 2006 to move their manufacturing operations from California to the area.

Caris says a number of reasons were responsible for the company's move including the great quality of life, having a large pool of talented engineers in the area, and support from local authorities.

Caris says while he lived and worked in California he had never seen the same level of accessibility to representatives as he does here.
