One dead in Chaffee County accident

The Colorado State Patrol reports one person died overnight in an accident on Highway 24 in Chaffee County. According to the accident report, an 1989 Honda Civic was traveling east on Highway 24 when it went out of control and went into the westbound land. That vehicle was hit by a Toyota truck.
The driver of the Honda died. The name of that person has not been released. Three people in the other vehicle were not injured, but were taken to a Salida hospital as a precaution.
The State Patrol reports the road was wet when the accident happened.
