Today will be very similar to yesterday with overall dry and hot conditions across Southeastern Colorado.
High pressure will prevent any widespread rain, though an isolated shower cannot be ruled out in the mountains west of I-25 in the upslope breeze late this afternoon.
Temperatures will max out around 100 along the Arkansas River Valley with mainly 90's for the rest of the area. Teller County's highs will be in the 70's and 80's.
The weather pattern morphs into one that favors scattered showers and thunderstorms tomorrow through Friday. More rain will come with cooler temperatures.
