One person displaced in house fire

A house fire in Colorado Springs has left one man displaced tonight. It happened just before 6 near the intersection of S. El Paso and Las Animas just east of downtown.
The entire back addition of the house was destroyed by the fire. It started to spread to the main interior of the home as well but luckily crews got to it before it could do more damage. A power line was also down due to the fire.
Another house still in construction next door also received some damage. That home proved to be a help to fire fighters. They pulled hose up to the second floor in order to fight the fire as it moved to the attic of the other home.
The owner wasn't home at the time of the fire. He is displaced tonight. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation
