Two groups will meet at noon Friday at Cherry Creek State Park to mark the first anniversary of the Aurora movie theater massacre, one remembering those killed by guns, the other will rally to support the Second Amendment.
The remembrance event begins at noon at the Smoky Hill Shelter. The Denver Post reports victims of gun violence and family members of some who were killed in the theater shooting will address the crowd and read the names of gun violence victims from across the country.
Windsor-based Rocky Mountain Gun Owners has planned a counter-rally at noon Friday at the Smoky Hill Shelter.
