WASHINGTON (AP) - An FBI spokeswoman is saying a package that has ignited at a D.C. postal facility is similar to two fiery packages that were opened in Maryland.

FBI Spokeswoman Lindsay Godwin said Friday initial information shows the D.C. package is similar to the two parcels opened Thursday at state office buildings in Maryland. The packages in Maryland contained a message complaining about electronic highway road signs that asked motorists to report suspicious activity.

D.C. Officer Hugh Carew says the package at the D.C. facility ignited about 2:45 p.m. Friday. The building has been evacuated and no injuries have been
reported.
