Part of John Martin Reservoir closed after fire

Part of John Martin Reservoir State Park will be closed today as fire fighters monitor hot spots from a nearby grassfire.
The North Boat Ramp, the Visitor Center and the boat inspection area will be closed today. The east part of the park, below the dam, will remain open.
The fire started Saturday near Las Animas and spread across several thousand acres of private and public land on Sunday. The fire was contained overnight.
