Party planned at Parade of Lights in Pueblo

The Pueblo Parade of Lights adds a new event this year for children and families.

Puebloans can get out of the cold and enjoy an old fashioned party at the old Federal Building (former downtown Post Office) at 5th and Main.  The event runs from to 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on November 27 and is free.  The Parade of Lights begins at 5:30 on the Mesa Junction, runs through the Union Avenue Historic District and ends up downtown.

The free refreshments are made by and served by the 5th & Main Espresso Bar and Café. The evening's menu includes 19th century traditional goodies like:

  • Santa's Cranberry Apple Cider,
  • Rudolph's Creamy Hot Chocolate, (Rudolph's favorite drink after leading Santa's sleigh around the world delivering gifts)
  • Gingerbread Cookies,Sliced oranges, and apples with peanut butter for dipping, and
  • Mrs. Claus will here in person passing out her legendary recipe cookies (the centuries old favorite cookie of all of Santa's elves)

Music will be provided by Karen Anderson, Desire Wilson and Daniel Hernandez and his band.

Hosts for this event will be dressed in 19th Century clothes.
