The rainy and slushy weather didn't keep some die-hard runners and dog fanatics from celebrating the Humane Society's 3rd annual Pawtoberfest.
Around twenty vendors selling anything and everything having to do with dogs also braved the cold and wet weather.
Although around 700 runners registered for the event, organizers say about half came out for the run.
The Humane Society hopes to raise about $100,000 from the event. All the proceeds go towards helping funding its efforts and supporting the approximately 31,000 animals that the Human Society helps care for in a given year.
