PCC students offer low cost massages to public

Stressed out? How about getting a low cost massage, while helping students earn a college degree. Today Pueblo Community College held a grand opening for its new massage therapy clinic, located on the corner of Lincoln and Abriendo.

PCC started the massage therapy program four years ago, but this marks a big expansion. PCC believes there's a growing demand for therapeutic massage. "As we become more stressed, and as we become more advanced in our technology and spend more time sitting, more and more people are going to need the relief that massage therapy provides," said Lynne Ross, Chair of Massage Therapy Department at PCC.

You can sign up to get a massage from a student from May 10 to July 1. The cost is $20 for one hour, or $30 for an hour and a half. Appointments are necessary. For more information call 719-549-3083.
