PCC teacher wins technology award

Pueblo Community College teacher Luis Nazario has been selected to receive an award for innovative teaching methods using technology.

Nazario teaches in the classroom with wireless laptop computers, trains students to research online and use the Microsoft Word software program. His courses are noted for being easy to navigate and using creative graphics. They are writing-intensive and allow students to take series of quizzes online with automatic grading giving them automatic feedback.

Nazario will receive the Jerry Wartgow Teaching with Technology Award from the Colorado Community College System at a ceremony today in Aurora.
