Person hit by train near downtown

A man has been hit by a train behind Giuseppe's Restaurant in Downtown Colorado Springs.

Witnesses say they believe the man is homeless and appeared to be on the tracks on purpose. They say he didn't move as the train approached.

The man appeared to be conscious and walking as paramedics took him away. We have not been able to reach police investigators to get more information yet.
