ASPEN, Colo. (AP) - Pitkin County commissioners are considering exceptions for new guidelines limiting the use of drone helicopters in the city.
Commissioners gave initial approval Wednesday to a plan that would make it easier for movie producers and real estate agents to avoid getting permits.
The remote-controlled helicopters are being used to give potential homebuyers a birds-eye view of property and for broadcasting bicycle races. Commissioners are concerned use of the helicopters could violate personal privacy rights.
