Police capture robbery suspect who came back for car

A robbery was reported Friday afternoon around 2:50pm at the Dale House Project, located at 7 West Dale Street. When officers arrived on scene they were told of a lone suspect who was armed with a hand gun and entered the office area demanding money. Before officer could arrive the suspect had fled the scene on foot. Patrol units dispatched to the area also notices a suspicious vehicle near Dale and Glen Streets. It was parked illegally with the engine running and no one was in or around the vehicle. Upon further investigation officers learned that the vehicle was registered to a man who fit the description of the robbery suspect.

The CSPD Robbery Unit was called to the scene and surveillance was set up to watch the suspicious vehicle. When a second vehicle arrived and parked behind the first. Two individuals attempted to enter the vehicle officers were watching. Police officers and detectives were able to apprehend the two and identify one of them as the robbery suspect. Police identify the man as 20 year old Elijah Wilson. Police were able to obtain a search warrant for the suspect's residence and found evidence from the robbery under investigation. Charges against the second person that was taken into custody are anticipated following more investigations.
